The non-negotiable
In Queensland, working with children generally requires a Working with Children Check — a Blue Card — issued under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000. For a childcare centre, that isn't a nice-to-have; it's what your regulatory obligations are built on.
Plenty of contractors work around it by scheduling outside hours and hoping the question doesn't come up. We don't need to. Any crew member attending while children are present holds a current Blue Card and a police check, so there's no scrambling if a visit runs into pick-up time or a centre director asks to see documentation.

A record of what was used, when you need it
If an assessment visit asks what was sprayed on your site, when, and by whom, you need to be able to answer.
Ask us and you get a written record of the treatment: product, dilution, date, the surfaces it was applied to and who applied it.
That record is what schools, childcare centres, medical facilities and body corporates are expected to hold — and it is what separates a contractor working to a documented method from someone turning up with a pressure washer and a drum of whatever was on special.

Directors and business managers can request the full pack at any time — for your contractor register, an assessment visit, or a parent who asks.
What happens next
Deliberately in that order. On a childcare or school site, you shouldn't have to let a contractor walk your site before you've seen their clearances.

Yes — anyone attending while children are present, alongside a police check. No one attends while children are on site without both, and we won't subcontract your site to someone we can't vouch for.
Yes. Early starts before drop-off are common, and we can work weekends or school holidays for larger jobs. Because our crew is cleared anyway, we're flexible rather than forced into a narrow window.
Treatments are timed for when children aren't on site, and we give the director clear re-entry advice — typically until the surface has fully dried. You are told what product is going on and at what dilution before we start.
Yes, because of how we sequence it. Play equipment, soft-fall and sandpits are covered or kept well clear, nothing is treated while children are in the area, and every surface is rinsed down and left to dry before anyone is back on it. Our crews hold current Blue Cards and are police checked, and we work to a documented SWMS, signed by every worker and reviewed annually.
Yes — Blue Cards, police checks, certificate of currency, SWMS and licence documentation, supplied before we start rather than when someone asks for it.
Yes — both. Schools tend to need larger areas done and holiday-period work: covered walkways, shade sails, outdoor eating areas, hard courts and roofs. Centres need tighter scheduling around a smaller site. The clearance and supervision requirements are the same either way.
