In short: TopWash Exterior Cleaning is a family-run exterior cleaning business based in Highfields, servicing Toowoomba and the suburbs within roughly 35km, with no travel surcharge in that area. It carries $20 million public liability cover with Allianz and holds a WorkCover policy. The crew is Working at Heights certified and White Card holders, every worker is police-checked, and anyone attending a childcare, school or care site holds a current Blue Card. Ask any operator for these. Licence numbers take about a minute to check on Queensland's public register, and any real insurer will issue a certificate of currency naming you. If a contractor cannot produce them, an incident on your property — a stone through a window, spray drift next door, someone hurt on site — can end up your problem instead of theirs.

Cleaning a roof is our work. Repointing ridge caps, replacing broken tiles and any repair goes to a roofer — we would rather refer it than pretend.

How we work
Owner-operated, and the same faces every visit
TopWash is a family business running out of Highfields. Hannah handles scheduling and the back office, Zac and Tom are on the tools with me. You get the same faces every visit, which is how they come to know which tap has pressure and which gate sticks.
Repeat work runs on an automated recurring schedule so a service never quietly slips. A reminder with your ETA goes out the day before and an on-the-way message on the day. There is no lock-in — stretch the interval out, tighten it up, pause or stop whenever you need.
The gear decides what is possible. Petrol pressure units with adjustable flow, a flat surface cleaner for driveways so you do not get wand stripes, a low-pressure soft wash setup for render and roof tile, water-fed poles and deionised water for glass and solar panels, and roof anchors and harnesses for anything above single storey. Turning up with the right machine is the difference between a clean finish and a surface someone else has damaged.
Skill and care
Getting it right is a judgement call, not a checklist
Two houses twenty minutes apart go green at completely different rates. Toowoomba sits around 700 metres on the Great Dividing Range, so fog, heavy dew and cool nights keep surfaces damp far longer than they stay damp in Brisbane. Higher and foggier again at Highfields, Cabarlah, Hampton and Cawdor. A south wall under trees will need doing while a north wall in full sun is still fine. Aspect, elevation and shade decide the interval, not the calendar. We look at the property before we tell you how often.
The same thinking runs through the small calls nobody sees us make. We will not put high pressure on render, soft roof tile or old paint, because it strips the surface and the damage shows up months later. We move the pot plants and the outdoor setting rather than washing around them. We tell you when a driveway will not come back to new, instead of quoting a result we cannot deliver. Nobody inspects any of that. It is the difference between a house that looks washed and a house that looks looked after.
Being thorough costs us rather than you, and that is the entire reason we quote the job instead of the hour — an hourly rate charges you for our care. Every quote is priced by me personally. If anything is not right we come back and put it right — no arguments, no extra charge.

It is the bad day that the paperwork is for, and an uninsured contractor working at height on your land can leave the liability sitting with you.
