Westbrook & the south
House washing, pressure cleaning and shed and tank cleaning in Wyreema, by a local crew who know what this ground and this weather do to a building. Bigger blocks, gravel drives and paddock dust. Sheds, tanks and machinery aprons matter as much as the house. $20 million public liability, Working at Heights certified, police-checked crew and a documented SWMS, signed by every worker and reviewed annually.
Why us here
We work Wyreema regularly, so a quote rarely means a long wait. What matters most is method: concrete, pavers and brickwork take pressure cleaning; render, paint, weatherboard and Colorbond take soft washing, where the treatment kills mould and lichen at the root rather than blasting the surface off. Roofs get a soft wash by default, or a controlled high-pressure surface clean where the roof suits it. Firm price before we start, photos when it is done.
Local conditions here
Black Vertosol · texture-contrast · creek alluvium
The ground changes street to street here: red Ferrosol on the rises, black cracking clay in the hollows. Red stains concrete, black does not, so two houses a block apart can need different treatment.
Bigger blocks, gravel drives and paddock dust. Sheds, tanks and machinery aprons matter as much as the house.
Wyreema is a small town about 25km south-west of Toowoomba. It began as Beauaraba Junction on the railway and was renamed Wyreema in 1893.
Around 2,080 people lived here in 2021, up from about 1,830 in 2016, across roughly 40 square kilometres of township lots and rural-residential blocks, with Hodgson Creek to the west.
Open ground and prevailing wind mean paddock dust settles on walls, sheds and solar panels between cleans.
Through the year
What the walls and concrete are telling you
Green or black film on the south and east walls is mould, not dirt — it needs a treatment, not a blast. Grey-green crust on the roof is lichen, bonded into the tile. Water spilling over a gutter edge is going into the fascia. A driveway that has changed colour is this ground at work. Streaky glass is mineral film. A solar array quietly making less than it used to is usually just soiled.
Most often in Wyreema: shed and Colorbond cleaning, exterior water tank cleaning, exterior house washing. Also roof cleaning, driveway and path cleaning, solar panel cleaning. Book several in one visit — cheaper, and the order matters: roof, gutters, walls, then windows.
Also in Wyreema: concrete cleaning and sealing. Worth a read before you book: why Toowoomba houses go green, soft wash or pressure wash, and what exterior cleaning costs.
